Rykard fights itself was so incredibly disappointing, because it could have been so much cooler. The visuals are AMAZING, so is the lore. But all they did was the same gimmick fight from the previous souls. And you are literally encouraged to cheese the fight, by spamming the weapon skill and stunlocking the boss. Honestly, colossal swords and great spears are pretty comparable levels of cheese imo. Spamming colossal sword crouch poke is for sure more cringe than utilizing the whole great spear moveset, not questioning that. In a duel setting though, a good great spear player should be able to consistently beat colossal sword players.
